Mayor Nenshi shares the success of sliding scale

Mayor Nenshi's shares how the sliding scale helped uncover the hidden poverty in our City; and says how the sliding scale has made a difference to 10% of Calgarians and families living 50% below the poverty line (less than $ 13,310 per person per year 2021) and to live a life without fear and participate in a City that we all live in. An additional benefit means more people on the bus! The "Sliding Scale Model" for the Low-Income Transit pass also helps to make Calgary a green city because more people can get on the bus rather than driving cars.
