The positive impact of affordable fares for Calgarians

The City of Calgary produced its annual 2024 survey results asking transit customers who purchase monthly passes based on their ability to pay (commonly known as the low-income transit pass). We are pleased to share this 2024 infographic on the improving success of all Calgarians having affordable access to a lifeline. Over half were employed, and almost 90% used the savings for household necessities. Thank you, Calgary and the Alberta government, for working together to help fund affordable fares. Let's hope the good work continues.
