Affordability: Without being able to use Calgary Transit Access I wouldn't be able to get to work affordably because I'd have to rely on my father or friends to get me everywhere which in addition to making me feel like a burden would cost significantly more money in not only gas but extremely expensive adaptations to vehicles.
Social Interaction: Quite often persons with disabilities can experience deep feelings of loneliness and isolation especially during the pandemic. The service provided by Calgary Transit Access allows us the ability to be out and about in our community and develop relationships within society.
Safety/Security: Probably the most important reason a service like Calgary Transit Access is so crucial to persons with disabilities is the extra layer of security provided by the fact that it's a door-to-door service, unlike fixed-route transit. It comes with less risk of getting lost, not being able to get into a building, or getting stuck in the snow.
